Joining
Anyone can join, from the home page or a book someone on Shelved recommends to you. One account per person, and you need to be at least 13. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Your content
What you write and record on Shelved is yours. You let Shelved store and process it to run the app, including through the services listed in the privacy page. A recommendation link shows what that page says it shows, to anyone who has the link.
Books and picks
Book details and covers come from Open Library and Google Books and are sometimes wrong; you can fix a match from the Clean-up list. Picks on For you are written by Claude from your own ratings. They’re suggestions, and some will miss.
Fair use
Don’t use Shelved to spam, harass, scrape it, or get around its limits or security. Accounts that do can be suspended or removed.
The service
Shelved is free for now. If that changes, you’ll hear before anything is charged. It’s provided as it is, without guarantees, and it may change. If it ever shuts down, you’ll get time to export your books first. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
If these terms change, the new version goes here with its date.
